I was searching the net for answers but I couldn't find 1
Basically I have a citreon saxo and I want to buy alloys for it. The wheels which are fitted are michelin 155/70 r13...So am I right in guessing that the alloy size I need are 13 inch? Don't want to spend a lot of money on alloys which won't even fit my car!
Thanks

I did check but couldn't find the size...thats why I asked you lot:D
The "r13" on the tyre shows it's a 13 inch rim. So that's what you have.
You could get bigger rims, and then put lower profile rubber on them. the "70" on the tyre refers to the profile height, which is a percentage of the width of the tyre (which is what the "155" refers to in mm).
Remember the alloys you buy also have to be the right width for the tyres you're fitting to them too.
Yeah but who buy's alloys to fit their tyres?
You should be buying tyres to fit your alloys. If you'r going to get a set I'd definately go for something a little wider than 155's and get 15's instead of 13's.
I put 17's on an escort i had and if it altered my speedo reading-it wasnt noticable.
You need to make sure they are a Citroen fitment and the offset is suitable for your car. I dont know what the offset is for a saxo, but for example say it was 25-30mm, if you bought 2nd hand wheels you'd have to check that the nummber found most of the time on the inside said ET(any number between 25-30)
If you buy from a shop theyll make sure theyre perfect fit.
Advice-Make sure you get locking wheel nuts!!!!
Oh, and i notice you're from Wigan. Theres a really good place in Oldham you might wanna go to called Wheelbase.
