if i hear from another soldiers familyt going "ooh my sons fighting out there and he died"
i have my condolences for them but he did join the army of his own choice and it gives the family no right to somehow be right
same with contrators over there, most are doing it for the stupidly high wages as its danger money
iraqis get my sympathy though

I don't think you can murder a soldier of an occupying force.
My friends dad got offered £1000 a day to do 2 weeks work in Iraq. Not even anything special, menail labour in oil refining or something like that. People do know the risks. A war is war, obviously we want to keep casualties on both sides to an absolute minimum, but at the end of the day, casualties are in inevitability.
As i've said before, people from the lower classes are likely to join the army, because i think it's quite likely that the middle and upper classes don't need to join the armed forces to make a living.
and why is there class in the first place then, surely in a democratic world everyone has the right and oppurtinity, key word being opportunity to be the best they can and not be used by the system to do their dirty work for them, if the whole world was like this then there wouldn't be a need for an army in the first place, we'd all live happily in an equilibrium, it's hardly muslims fault is it, i hate the way people attach stigmas to issues, it's plain and simple, there's a few powerful men in this world who dictate everything for their gain and it scares me
People excel at different things.
Class is an unfortunate outcome of democracy (capitalism), because inevitably there are people who who will excel more at something than others,a nd therefore do better for themselves.
I'd be very wary of who the few powerful people are. Media concentration of power scares me alot.
Oh right, so it isn't that the class system is self-perpetuating at all then?
Middle class people sending their kids to the best schools, so that they can get the best jobs and send their kids to the best schools and get the best jobs and ........
Its just cos by some kind of miracle people get born into the class appropriate to their ability.
:eek2:
And then you go on to talk about the "few powerful people" ...........
You've given us the gamut in a few hours, haven't you.
Let me paraphrase some of your 'fascinating' pearls of 'wisdom':
Muslims are barbaric.
Black people should be in Africa where AIDs can get them.
Mandela is a communist (with image from BNP site)
Women from council estates are "scummy"
Middle class women have a "degree of intelligence"
You wish you'd gone to a Catholic school to learn tolerance.
Black people can never be anything but immigrants. [/paraphrase]
Oh me, oh my,
he's putting in a selection of quotes yir fella welcome to grimsby aka dan brown said, loads of nasty shit.
too busy working yea?
it was quite hectic last night indeed, he's a strange ole fella that dan brown boyo.
i've suddenly become laminator man to my family ...how can i ever hope to make any money by working in my kids houses!
the mother in law has heard of my new found talents now ...
i know, children these days
in which democracy haven't the fat cats ruled.
Democracy is a form of government where say, decisions about laws are made by people or their representives as well as who is next coming in to power. Done by the vote of course.
The only way you could possibly link democracy to capitalism and say they're the same thing (in the most absract sense) is by looking at Athenian democracy and who is and isn't allowed to vote and by casting the men as the bourgeoisie and the slaves and the women, who could not vote as the proletariats (however, Athenian democracy is around 2000 years old I think).
But that's not really relevent...
Capitalism is pretty much the institutionalisation of economic practices, giving certain companies the rights to sell goods, be it land, services, car stereos or food. Kinda like privatisation?
But that's just my opinion really...
the people in my street don't make laws ...no one from my street will become prime minister ...i know what your saying but ...the way i see it is ...capitalism allows democracy and also comunism and any other other ism you care to name.
one big failed attempt called the ussr ...was all about replacing one set of c unts with another set.
whichever set it is ...you can bet they'll have the best shoes.
So ya don't reckon a socialist democracy would work?
not whilst we defend and even worship utter fucking twonks having a kick about and earning a million pounds an hour.
and not ...while i'm finding the capitalist way of life quite disgusting ...seeing myself trusting another bunch who are going to force me into something else.
Anarchism has the way forward for you then .......
Its about taking the power away from fat cats and refusing to give it back to them, whatever form they re-invent themselves in
but ...i'm at a very desliusioned state at this time of my life regarding ideologies ...i don't trust any political idiologs right now. none.
the whole fucking system is rotten ...
so ...if i trust none of them anymore but ...shout for people to vote labour in another thread ...does that mean i have actualy become a conservative afraid of change?
:yuck: Being in the Army doesn't mean its not tragic when they are murdered.
Iraqis get your sympathy but not British soldiers? How on earth can you justify that?
However, you sign up for the army, you go out there... you're playing russian roulette with your life.
It's a job, if they're murdered they are still entitled to sympathy.
How about police officers? If one is murdered on duty you don't think they deserve sympathy?
After all they, like soldiers, signed up knowing all the risks.
