i've had the sorest tongue ever for the last few weeks, on and off. i think i have a fair idea why it's happening, but is there anything i can do or use to make it less tender?
i've already noted not eating salt and vinegar crisps. yeeouch :crazyeyes

ice cream helps, but only for the amount of time i'm eating it. and much as i'd like, i can't eat it all day.
and if it's do do with what i think, i can't remove the cause.
i guess i could try bonjela or something like that, but you can only use a certain amount at a time, and it would probably just rub right off...
Sounds exciting!
it's not. i don't know exactly what's wrong yet, still waiting to see a specialist, but so far none of the options sound particularly appealing.
When I was teething my mum refused to apply bonjela as I just ate it all off and she couldn't put more on to stop me screaming and stuff. Whoops.
What do you think is the root cause?
mints can be soothing as well, or mouthwash? maybe ask ur gp next time u go if he/she can suggest anything
well, i'm pretty sure it's the same as whatever's causing my other symptoms.
my GP's bets are on some kind of autoimmune disease, but as i don't see the specialist until february, and my antibody blood tests (iirc) hadn't come back when i saw my GP, i guess it could be anything.
they didn't show up as low in my last blood test, but that was in early december, and this tongue thing has only been happening since the beginning of january, so who knows?
does mr. miffy also get normal mouth ulcers and sores up his nose that take ages to heal?
i've been taking normal multivitamins and zinc, but might try the b complex. anything's worth a go
what about the stuff that you can get that is an asasthetic type thing for ulcers that just completley numbs the area?
Sounds doubtful that it would drop drastically in that length of time.
He gets mouth ulcers but not the nasal sores as far as I know.
That's the way we're thinking too.
