Please help an uninspired fellow poster...
I need to get a DVD for my brother and sister for Christmas. I've just been browsing Amazon and CDWow but nothing's caught my eye.
What should I get them? (We've got quite a lot of films between us so mainstream stuff is out but it has to be good!).

Big man, I've never heard of any of them (apart from City of God). Are they all a particular genre?
Good film. :thumb:
I'm gonna have to get my hands on a copy again when I go home.
No, not really, there are similarities, in the social exclusion and the age bracket of the charactors. But it deals with different issues, its shot differently.....but most importantly its just much better.
Kids is alright, La Haine is a Great film, a monumental work.
Any other must sees?
Heat - is a very good crime film, a bit long though at 3 hours
Airplane - has to be one of the best comic films ever.
"The cockpit? What is it?"
"Its the small room at the front of the plane where the pilot sits, but thats not important now"
"A hospital . . what is it?"
"It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now"
Got it.
The other two I don't know.
"I am serious and dont call me shirley."
Grave of the fireflies - one of the best films ever made
