i think de regulation is a good idea, financally, but it shouldnt be as a free for all as there applications are at moment
at the moment we have the 2nd lowest gambling addiction rate in the UK

Not a good idea.
It'd be good to have machines in fewer places - as to whether gambling addiction will increase, I don't think we'll know till its happened.
But surely Labrat as a staunch libertarian you are completely for this.
Personally I think its unwise, but, well the internet is so wide spread I'm not sure it will make a huge impact. The sites of the casinos need to be very carefully placed.
I'd also like to see scratch cards go up to 18 year olds.
I'm not sure why anyone goes into a casino, I've been to a few and they are rubbish, really boring places.
Large Las Vegas style casinos in big cities – London, Manchester, Birmingham, etc. seems natural and could probably bring tourist and economic benefits.
But, having large casinos in every town seems a bit much and how can anyone think putting a load of casinos in ‘deprived areas’ could be a good idea?
I read Australia did something similar not long back and relaxed theirr gambling laws but there has been a lot of problems.
When you look at how much funding the state of Victoria receives from gambling revenue it makes sense.
Australia has always had the pokies and the keno.
There's a casino in most cities already, there's two in Bradford.
Not everyone has the same morals. But everyone important can agree that money is important.
The gambling laws probably do need to be changed but there’s got to be restrictions. It would be crazy to allow massive casinos in every town where people can just walk in and bet like you can at a bookies. It’s been proven that casino gambling is ‘hardcore’ gambling and a lot more addictive than just betting a few quid on horses.
Exactly. I don't see what all the fuss is about.
cause at the moment theyre regulated topoint you have to be a member, and theres limitations on prizes etc
Sorry, but NO government should tell me HOW I spend my money provided I DON'T commit force or fraud against another!
ALL gambling should be legal!
How many times have you been banned now, Monocrat?
 No.
I'm not free market libertarian enough.
Morality is a subjective concept. People in parts of India think some humans have inherent rights to harm others. I do not.
Reading the boards.
cant believe its being fast track through
only £3million into helping people with addiciton compared to the profits running into the millions
only winners are big conglomerates and government - we all lose in the long run, how the hell will a big casino regenerate an area, look at las vegas, the casinos look well nice, seen the residential areas? complete scumholes all over!
Everyone else does.
Will you go and commit suicide? Please?
Quiz machines are better though especially with 4 people. But even that is a gamble!
worse than fruit machines with fruit machines theres a chance of winning auiz machines i can get super high scores and not win a quiid
