Norethisterone...?

A couple of years ago I was going abroad, and didn't want to have to worry about my period. My doctor prescribed me norethisterone (the brand name is Utovlan, if that makes a difference) to delay it, and it worked, so everything was great.
I'm going to Italy in about a month, and again, I don't want to have to worry about my period. I'm on the mini-pill now (micronor), so as my periods are really irregular I don't even know if I have anything to worry about. I've still got loads of these norethisterone tablets left, and they don't expire until August, so is it worth taking them again, just in case?
The leaflet with the norethisterone doesn't say anything about if it makes a difference being on the pill, but my pill also contains norethisterone and I don't want to be overdosing on hormones because I'm moody enough already to be quite honest.
I don't know if I should just risk it and take them, or make an appointment with my GP (I'd rather not, because although she is very, very good she always runs very, very late for her appointments), or forget about it and just put up with my period if it happens.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what's the best plan of action?
Thanking you.
