If you really want to expand your tastes try diffrent genres.
Get some AC/DC, Frank Zappa or BB King.
the rasmus.....:p
Alkaline Trio
Queens of the Stone Age
Franz Ferdinand! (ok, they're indie, but I love 'em!)
Hot Hot Heat
The Darkness
Reel Big Fish
All a bit pop-ish, but quite good.
God, what rubbish you listen to.
Englebert Humperdink - Release Me :thumb:
As I said, it may not be your taste. Which part of that did you not read? I merely suggested it to expand your musical vocabulary.
Mudvayne:cool:
placebo????
just to expand your taste???
I can't believe you've written off Frank Zappa and BB King so easily.
Try In Flames, Dark tranquillity, Soilwork, Shadow gallery, black label society etc.
I would still recommend listening to different genres your shutting yourself off from lots of great music.
Did you even try Opeth or Dream Theater?
Fugazi
Birthday Party
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
The Stooges
Jane's Addiction
Dead Kennedys
Lard
Ministry
Revolting Cocks
Coil
Throbbing Gristle
Psychic TV
Einstuerzende Neubaten
OMG! Why are HIM only number two on your list, theys hould be number one!
Don't you know that they're releasing their new single next week, and that it'll be avaliable in 3 versions.
The radio edition, the limited edition, and the edition with Ville singing a song that I named!
Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
I don't get royalties or anything, but I would just do anything for free for HIM as I love them, and they mean the world to me.
Clear? Or shall I repeat it in the next 300 threads?

TBH, I wouldn't have said you'd categorised most of the bands you listed correctly either. But never mind. I'd recommend Rage Against The Machine, Deftones and The Distillers. Oh, and Hole. I agree with t'others though. If you really want to expand your horizons, maybe try a bit of indie, or punk, or dance, or whatever.
edited to add Jack Off Jill and Kittie to my recommendations.
Try listening to music from different decades. The 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, etc. And not just the typical stuff you find on compilations. Try listening to albums from groups from those decades, and a few other artists & genres. Take a chance, branch out, open your mind, instead of being so musically introverted.
why thank you, kind sir
