Hello all!
The end of the year is a mere hours away, and this can bring up lots of feelings: negative, positive, ambivalent.
This is a space for you to discuss all things New Year!
It might be an extra special thing in your culture, it might be that it brings feelings of sadness for you, it might be talking about how you personally plan to celebrate it, perhaps a reflection on your past year, or even a look to the future with your goals for the year ahead.
No judgement here, so let us know what comes to mind when you think of NYE!
For me, for most of my life it was my household, my auntie's household and my grandparent's household and we would all host one of Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day and it would rotate who did what each year! So for me, Christmas didn't feel like it was over until New Years had finished! I would stay up with my dad to watch the fireworks and we'd have a lot of Turkish picky bits, adn then we'd all gather at whoever's house so we could eat copious amounts of food and play games! Unfortunately we've had a lot of loss and health struggles in the family in the past couple of years, so I am still navigating what the "new" New Years' is for me!
