I want to ask the gay cafe I go to for a free haircut

They do “pay what you can”

I am scared to ask

I am unemployed out of uni on universal credit and disability benefits (PIP) , I regularly use the food bank , I am desperate to move out. I am 23 bisexual woman. I am scared to ask them. They seem nice but usually it is £20 for long hair but I really want a haircut , it has been since May. (That’s when my last cut was)

I was wondering if it would be possible at all book a long hair haircut for free as I am unemployed and on universal credit and disability benefits at the moment due to my mental health, if you are still operating with the “pay what you can system” I totally understand if this is no longer the case / not possible any more but wanted to message just in case this is possible at the moment . No worries at all if not!

Are you just planning to get a wee trim or are you doing anything else with your hair like dyeing it?

That'll be nice, especially if May was the last time you had your hair done.
Is the hairdressers attached to the cafe? - I've never seen that done before.
I might have a look to see if there are any near me, I'd love a wee coffee and a cake whilst I got my hair cut!
