@DonnerKebab i thought and anxiety attack and a panic attack were the same thing? At least thats what the mental health staff told me. Funny that you (a person not trained in mental health) is better than a professional goes to show how fucked up the system is. With the dissociation yeah pretty much thats it like it feels like im not inside my body it feels weird like im disconnected and i feel numb and as you said nothing really registers and usually i feel pretty dizzy like everything is spinning (tbf it happens to me a lot might just be low iron idk) and yeah your right it's probably best to not really rely on my friend im sorry about your graduation that sucks and yeah your right abt the other stuff thanks that helped. Also thank you for taking time to type up a response and listen to me rant ik some of this sounds stupid but it means a lot that your actually supporting me so thank you

@Cutelivejazz I wouldn't say i'm better than a professional, but you are right about how messed up our system is. We are ranked 2nd lowest in the world in terms of wellbeing. https://www.medboundtimes.com/medbound-blog/uk-grapples-with-second-worst-ranking

The thing about anxiety attacks is that it's still highly contested and debated. Same with things like CPTSD. Some don't recognise anxiety attacks as a thing, others do recognise it. it really depends on which mental health professional you see and there personal opinions on it. But it's definitely worth looking into. They aren't the same thing. I've put a few links about anxiety attacks and how they differ from panic attacks.

    https://www.verywellmind.com/anxiety-attacks-versus-panic-attacks-2584396

And that dissociation sounds extremely difficult. Emotional numbness is an extremely tricky one. I wish i had some advice about it, but i'm still struggling to overcome that myself.

And you don't have to say thank you. You're entitled to be able to vent about things and be listened to. I'm just sorry that nobody has taken the time to listen to you and offer advice and support before. And btw, there is nothing stupid about any of it.

@DonnerKebab yay. Tbh this is my favourite joke of all time and when I told my physics teacher she loved it. Ok so a photon checks into a hotel and the bellhop asks do you need help carrying your luggage and the photon replies no im travelling light

    @Cutelivejazz that's a good one. Okay, i have one.

*Einstein is speeding down the road, past the speed limit, so an officer pulls him over*
Police Officer: Do you know how fast you were going down that road sir?
Einstein: But officer, speed is relative

@DonnerKebab im used to the whole dissociating thing at this point it happens and im like oh okay and just try to keep going with my day without punching someone (im joking though that has happened - long story). Is it weird that sometimes I look at other people thier relationship and stuff and i feel jealous. Like im not popular ive never been popular and ik this is going to sound mean but generally people who are popular were dumb or horrible or both and usally id be like well theyre pretty and popular but at least they arent as smart as me or theyre a horrible person but there was this one girl and she was smart and pretty and popular and super nice and I couldnt find a flaw to criticise or a way that i was better than her and I felt really jealous of her like she qas basically everything i wanted to be and it kinda sucked and for a long time I hated her its better now I hate her less but still. I knoe this isnt the healthiest way to cope with i guess being jealous?

@DonnerKebab did you know bananas are slightly radioactive bc they contain a isotope of potassium (K40 i believe) not sure what kind of decay it does tho.

I looked it up it primarily does beta decay into calcium 40

@Cutelivejazz a very tricky question cause there's so many good ones. I'd probably say einstein, simply because the work he did laid the foundations for much of our understanding of the universe and physics, and was something that was built upon by others in so many different fields of physics. He did have his flaws, even disbelieving certain aspects of his own theorem (especially when it came to the concept of singularities), but overall, i'd say he's my favourite. I actually went to Brian Cox's new horizons event where einstein was spoken about a lot by him.

@Cutelivejazz i've heard that one before. It was calculated as requiring 10 million banana's to give a fatal dose of radiation. Did you know 1 gram of uranium equals 20 billion calories?

@DonnerKebab that's intresting. That's super cool though I like Einstein too there's a documentary movie type thing on him I believe it was on Netflix I don't really remember it sucks he had to flee from Germany cus he was Jewish.

@DonnerKebab that's facisnating. If im not mistaken I believe they find calories by basically burning the food and then smth about heating it by 1°c though that might be specific latent heat or heat capacity but yeah I think it's facinating

@Cutelivejazz True, but that meant he wasn't in german hands in ww2. Einstein's theorem was critical for the development of nuclear fission, and thus, an atomic bomb so it's a good thing he was able to escape from them. But even despite that horrid situation, he still changed physics forever.

And btw, i love Neil de Grasse Tyson too. Space always fascinated me. Do you think there's life on other planets?

@DonnerKebab did you know the blue LED (Light Emitting Diode) was the hardest to make. As far as I remeber since diodes are semi conductors they are made of a special molecule smth about p doping and i think the make a latice of silicone share and atom with phosphorus smth like that I don't rly remeber but I think it's facisnating

@DonnerKebab i don't know part of me thinks yes but the other part of me thinks how come we haven't found them if they do exist. The universe is so vast there must be something no? There's also the whole theory that aliens made us and put us on earth which is a whole other theory that I won't get into

@Cutelivejazz here's a fun fact, human DNA is 60% identical to banana's DNA

@DonnerKebab yes that is very interesting i forgot what it's called now but there's a specific subcellular organism it reads i believe before the ribosome and makes sure there aren't any mutations which I think scientist are looking into it as some sort of cancer drug

@Cutelivejazz i suppose it's the fermi paradox. But interestingly enough, i've heard a fair few theories, like the simulation theory, all of which make sense. I reckon, yes there is life, but no there is not intelligent life that is within reachable distance. Have you ever heard of the theory that life exists in the cloud layer of venus?

@Cutelivejazz so, essentially, there was a theory that was floated around for a while, that suggested, as unlikely as it is, that theoretically, it may just be possible at a push for life (single celled organisms) to exist in the upper cloud layer of Venus, floating about in the currents of it. And for a while it was seen as a fringe theory, but theoretically possible, until they discovered traces of phosphine gas, something produced by microbes on earth when there's no oxygen, in venus's upper cloud layer, which strongly suggests the existence of microbes in the upper cloud layer of the planet too. They've got further expeditions and missions planned to work out where it's from.
