Mentions of suicide attempts!!

So on the 8th July it will be 3 years since I attempted to end my life…strange to think I was 15 and didn’t think I’d make it to 18 and now I’m 18 and still here 🫠

im so proud of how far you’ve come you have gone through so much in your life but you’re still here fighting thats huge!! youre deserving of a gd life rose and i hope from now onwards is a happy life for you. never give up bc youre deserving of support and you deserve to live so proud of you rose keep going xx

Like Eylah said, and like we all believe here, we are so proud of you for carrying on and still being here with us - and you should be proud of yourself too. I know your journey hasn't been easy but the fact you are still here with us all just shows how strong of a person you really are.

Hey @Rose113 you've come so far in the last 3 years and just like @sinead276 and @eylah have said - your journey and what you've been through in this time might not have been easy, but you're here and still fighting. This is genuinely an incredible achievement Rose.

If you feel comfy sharing, how are you feeling about the anniversary? I hear it's a little bit strange to think how different your life is now you're 18 compared to when you were 15. This is totally valid and I can understand that this isn't exactly how you expected your life to pan out. We're glad you're here with us in our community River.

I hear you @Rose113 and please know there isn't a right way to feel about this. Do you have any plans for that day? For example do you think you might want to do something to help distract you or is it something you think you want to celebrate? There's no right or wrong answer here Rose. It's so important you're able to look after yourself in whatever way you need to.

The Community will be right here with you if you feel like spending some of that day with us @Rose113. You don't have to be alone in this. It also looks like the 8th July is a Tuesday so we should be running Support Circle that evening if you fancied signing up. You can see nearer the time Rose - there's no pressure at all.

thank you for sharing that with us. that’s such a huge thing to carry, and i just want to say that i am really, really glad you’re still here. i can’t even imagine how hard that time must have been, but the fact that you’ve made it to now, to 18, says so much about your strength, even if it doesn’t always feel like it!

anniversaries like that can bring up a lot of emotions, maybe pride, confusion, pain, maybe all of it at once? but whatever you’re feeling around it is totally valid. i hope you know that your life matters, and the world is better with you in it.
