Hey folks, unfortunately Support Chat will be closed this evening. But we will still be running General Chat and circle. We're really sorry about this <3

    Agreed. Hopefully its back on tomorrow but if it's not it won't be that surprising tbh. I do understand the team are trying their best though, hopefully the schedule becomes more reliable really soon.

    definitely!! it’s the “Do take care of yourselves and the usual chat schedule should be back tomorrow :)” on the end of every cancellation yet the usual chat schedule is yet to be seen🤣

    The usual chat schedule hasn't been seen for weeks. I'm glad circle is running, it's always preferable to run that for those people, but bloody hell. It won't be back tomorrow.

    It is really sad to see it not on, I needed to vent and I'm sure a lot of people did too. It does need sorting ASAP. Tbh maybe if the mods were treated better there would have been less departures and there would be enough mods to cover chats.

    I mean at this point I'm not really surprised because I just expect these messages to appear every time I log on and it's kind of sad to see..I know that the team is working hard but still something needs to.be done. Otherwise we are being told mixed messages.

    i just don’t understand why the mix cant just come out and say how they have not got enough mods (as that’s super clear) therefore the chat schedule is going to be disrupted, but have a plan in place for this eg running chats less days of the week temporarily to ensure they actually run rather than last minute cancellations, as one of the big things with mental health support is it being available, and not constantly letting people down. it would be understandable if it was once in a while or whatever, then ok, but daily…? it’s becoming a bit of a joke now.

    realistically, we all know there aren’t enough mods which is why chats are being cancelled - why does it take the WHOLE day for the announcement to come out? it’s a few hours before chats we find out, when really, the mix have known all day - not everyday is a case of mods being unavailable last min as it can’t possibly be every single mod is facing unforeseen circumstances every single day. it’s so obviously known that chat won’t happen due to not having enough mods, long before a couple of hours before chats.

    I find it's so stressful now because they can inform us earlier about these cancellations but they don't. What is worse too as you mentioned is that these last minute cancellations are doing any good for the community right now, in fact it's made things 10x as worse on here which is sad. We know that yes there isn't enough mods to fully run the groups but something needs to be done and the mix can clearly do.something, they can, it's just a bit of quick problem solving and rearranging things and bam sorted. But they are probably hiding right now from us because they know what they are doing. They clearly do.

    I think the issue with temporary changes to the schedule is that we know that they won’t be temporary either. Chats stopped being on 7 days in 2022. We were told this would be a temporary change. Then when they stopped being on Mondays, that was a temporary change too.. but it wasn’t really. If they are going to make any changes to the schedule, imo there needs to be a clear plan for what’s gonna happen to improve the situation, and not just vague reassurances that it’s a temporary change.

    On the positive side for tonight, general chat was great as always, good distraction to unwind and we never know support might be on tomorrow, won't get any hopes up but it might be. If anyone is struggling and needs someone to talk to pm me ❤️

    Yes GC has been great lately, I'm glad it can run. Good to try and take a positive from this. And like I said, defo prioritise circle, as people have signed up for that. But the daily changes are concerning.
