hey:) as you can gather from the title, i am unsure on what to do.
basically, i applied for a job i really really wanted, and a job that i didn’t want so much however knew due to past experience, previously working alongside their team and qualifications, i’d be in with a pretty good chance of getting the job and i really NEED a job.
i had the interview at 11am on wednesday morning for the job that was my ‘backup’ option, but at 10:58am, the job i really wanted, they emailed me and said about ive been shortlisted for an interview so i confirmed that i will attend the interview. at 8am on thursday morning i got an email saying i was successful and they would like to offer me a position - which im super happy about, and grateful for.
i’m still going to go to the other interview on tuesday though as its the job i really want, and do feel like i stand a pretty good chance at the interview to be honest but my fear is the other job emailing me again (there was issues with documentation so im just waiting for them to email me) as i don’t want to refuse the offer and then not get the other job but i really don’t know what to do - the other job said ill hear back by the end of next week so its not ages away really which is good but im just like scared i guess of ending up jobless again?
apologies if this comes across as im a really stuck up person - i promise im not im just trying to be more positive in life, especially about myself lol

If possible you could take the offer with the "back up" job as then you definitely know you won't be jobless- even if its not the one you really want. Then after the interview on Tuesday and you hear back from them about it either good or bad news you have options

2. You don't get the job you want, but you still have a job even if its not the one you truely want
Either way you have options to take and you will know what's right for you 💕
Additionally sometimes people like going to interview to find out if other people want them which can boost confidence soo much.
Hopefully you get the job you want - you deserve it and will be amazing in whatever happens
