Is it normal to feel this empty my life it’s rubbish.

(TW: SA/Child Abuse)
I got raped at 15, my dad abused me as a kid

My recent ex is constantly stalking me and trying to start, my mh has dropped completely I’ve gone completely silent and not wanting to get out my bed,my meds aren’t working.. I’m possibly autistic which makes it 10x worse..I just don’t wanna be here anymore (I’m safe) what’s the point of anything anymore. PTSD is the worst thing atm with flashbacks.

Hey @Eminemsgirl , thank you for your post. It sounds like you're coping with so much right now, and feeling empty inside seems like a really valid response to the trauma, stress, and lack of support you're dealing with. I can imagine its extreamly overwhelming at times.

You mentioned that your ex is stalking you, and no one has a right to ever treat you this way. It sounds frightening to be coping with this. May I ask, are you feeling physically safe from them right now? I wonder whether anyone else is aware this is happening?

I also hear you saying that things have escalated to a point where talking feels impossible and a part of you doesn't want to be here anymore. I hear you, and thank you for trusting us in opening up about this. I'm really pleased to hear that you are safe, and at the same time, recognise just how unsafe PTSD flashbacks can leave you feeling. When you get thoughts of not wanting to be here, is there anything or anyone that helps to ground you?

I'll share some services below here that might also be able to support you:

There is an NHS-approved app called Stay Alive which is a suicide prevention resource full of information and tools to help you say safe in a crisis. This can be used if you are having thoughts of suicide, or if you are concerned about someone else's thoughts. The app also links directly to local and national crisis resources. You can download the app from the Apple and Android app stores, and find more information by going to https://www.stayalive.app/

Papyrus have a HOPELINE247 which is a confidential support and advice service for children and young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide or for anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide. You can call them on 0800 068 4141, text 88247, or email pat@papyrus-uk.org. Their webchat service is available when there is a chat bubble available on their website, this indicates that an adviser is available to talk to on webchat. They are available 24/7 and their suicide prevention advisers are ready to support you. For more details, visit https://www.papyrus-uk.org/papyrus-hopeline247/

Samaritans are there for you 24/7. They offer a listening service and emotional support to anyone about any issue, with a special focus on suicidal feelings. You can call the helpline for free on 116 123 or email at jo@samaritans.org. You can also write them a letter and you can find details on their website. Some of their branches offer face to face services and you can find your local branch on their website. For more information you can go to www.samaritans.org

    ...........Support with PTSD:
Assist Trauma Care offers evidence-based therapy to adults and children affected by a wide range of traumatic occurrences, including anxiety, PTSD and traumatic bereavement. If you or a member of your family have experienced a traumatic incident and would like to discuss whether therapy from ASSIST can help you, please telephone 01788 551919 or email admin@assisttraumacare.org.uk. Assist charges for assessments and then upon commencing therapy, charge by an hourly rate. There are different factors such as location and therapeutic needs which would determine the cost of therapy therefore they do not provide a fixed price. Find more information on their website http://assisttraumacare.org.uk/

PTSD UK is a charity who aims to raise awareness about the causes, symptoms, and treatments available of PTSD. They mainly provide information and support about these three main topics on their website, https://www.ptsduk.org/ and helps support anyone within the UK.

The Brain Charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition (e.g. ADHD, PTSD, Epilepsy, or TBI) and to their family, friends, and carers. You can find practical help and emotional support options such as counselling via their website https://www.thebraincharity.org.uk/how-we-can-help or contact their reception team on 0151 298 2999(Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) who will be able to direct you to the service you want to get in touch with.

    How do these options sound?
