Bittersweet Day

I’m so excited for my sister and her kids to arrive today to see them in person for the first time in a few years but I just saw a reminder on my cousins fb wall that my aunt (dads sister) passed 12 years ago today as she lost her battle with cancer when I was in year six. I love her so much and there isn’t a day I don’t think of her. By coincidence my mom put something in my room yesterday on my dresser she is making for her grave to keep safe from the kids. (They are young and in the touch everything phases) It is in her favorite color yellow and it kind of just hit me so while yes I’m so excited for later with my sister and nieces and nephew I’m just going to take a moment to miss my aunt now. Fly high Joanne, even though it’s been so long I still love and miss you just as much as I did when I found out you gained your wings my lovely angel. I’m praying for Ryan ashy Alisha and Jordan (you’re amazing kids my lovely cousins) and of course dad think of you with happiness today. Love you always and forever Joanne ❤️

Did you manage to get up to anything nice today? I hope you were able to have a restful day and did something nice with your nieces and nephew.
They did stay longer than I expected (a good few hours) with the time they got here not enough to go anywhere with them but we definitely didn’t care with how long we haven’t been in person with them for. We all were just sat in the living room (mam, dad, me, my sister, our oldest brother, another sister older than me but younger than the one that visited, my little sister and thee younger brothers and 13 nieces and nephews (there are more but two of my older brothers weren’t down unfortunately) and talked or hug and get a lot of pictures
