I’m not sure what the MHI thing means exactly but I think if you don’t opt in, your account will be deleted.

like anonymous said if you dont opt in before the date says your acc will be anonymoused and deleted. idk what it means tbh but ppl can heal from trauma by doing talking therapy etc so trauma will be with you as a person forever but we can try heal from difficult things in past. :)

Hey @ellie2000, just to pick up on your questions re MHI.

Just to briefly explain, The Mix are merging with Mental Health Innovations, the charity that oversees Shout, the 24/7 mental health text service. This essentially means our two charities are coming together to form as one charity.

As part of the merger, we've been working behind the scenes to make sure your data stays safe and that we comply with all the right laws and policies in our new charity.

Currently, The Mix is the 'data controller' (a legal term) of your personal data you may have shared with us when registering your account or in posts from the discussion boards. From 20 September 2024, Mental Health Innovations (MHI) will be 'data controller' of all personal data that you agree to transfer. We need to request your consent to The Mix transferring your personal data that it holds in relation to you to MHI. That means you need to opt-in to a new policy indicating you're happy with the transfer.

If you opt-in, we know that you're happy for MHI to hold your account and your data. If you don't opt-in, that's completely fine - it's up to you whether you want to - but like @AnonymousToe said, your account and data will be deleted if you don't opt in.

It looks like you've completed this by your screenshot so you don't have to worry about it. Your discussion boards account will otherwise remain the same after opting in. <3

I'm sorry notifications still aren't working, we'll look into sorting any glitches following the data transfer work. :)

    Hope that helps!
