Today wouldve been my aunts birthday if we hadnt lost her and i guess i feel a little worse about it than i thought i would. I just miss her so much and she wouldve only have turned 46 or 47 which is still fairly young.
I guess i just gotta try and distract myself though because i need to find the energy to do things like get prepared for college on thursday. I just miss how amazing she was and how she stepped in for a couple years and took care of us like her own when we needed her most.

Distracting yourself is a good idea but it’s also okay to spend some time thinking about her and how you feel too. 💙
I hope you find some time for yourself today, Chloe. Wishing your aunt a happy heavenly birthday 🤍
sending you a big hug
Grief doesn’t have a timeline, and certain days, like today, can bring those feelings to the surface more intensely. Allow yourself to feel what you need to feel, there's no need to rush into distracting yourself if you’re not ready. Sometimes just sitting with those emotions and remembering the good times can be a way of honouring her memory.
As you prepare for college on Thursday, try to be gentle with yourself. It’s a big step, and it’s okay to feel a little off balance right now. Maybe you can find a small way to carry her with you as you start this new chapter - whether that’s through a keepsake, a memory, or even just thinking about the strength she showed when she cared for you. That strength is a part of you too.
