Hey @ellie2000, thank you for reaching out <3

Triggers occur because something in our present moment reminds us, consciously or unconsciously, of a situation, feeling, or event from our past. These triggers can bring up strong emotions, like fear, sadness or anger because they connect to experiences that were significant to us, sometimes in ways we might not fully understand.

They can keep arising because our past is always with us, and life presents us with situations that can feel similar to things we've been through before. It's important to be gentle with ourselves when this happens. Recognising a trigger is an important step towards healing and understanding ourselves. Over time, by exploring these feelings, perhaps with the help of supportive safe people or practices, we can learn to manage our triggers and reduce their impact on our day-to-day lives, even if we might always experience them.

    I hope this helps ⭐

    Hi @ellie2000
    thanks for reaching out.

I think you have been given some great advice.

Would you mind clarifying what you mean regarding "people without knowledge"? As I would also like to try and help, if possible.

I think it is normal when we hold so many thoughts and worries in, that eventually it becomes too much and we just release all that bottled tension usually by venting to another person. It is a healthy way of coming to terms with your emotions and recognising and monitoring patterns in the way we feel.

Hope this puts your mind at ease <3
