Failure in a good way!

Hi!
I entered a competition that involved writing an essay and I did not win (I’m pretty sure I didn’t even come close to winning) and that’s okay!!!! It’s even good!!! I am so proud of myself for entering, I was late starting so I rushed to get it done but I did it, I submitted it even though it was scary, it helped me come up with new ideas that I’d love to pursue in the future, and I now feel a lot more comfortable with entering competitions! In the past there’s been competitions I haven’t entered because I was too scared, or times I haven’t won and have been extremely disappointed. I think I’ve done a good job at changing my perspective and turning this “failure” into something positive. Just wanted to share how far I’ve come

Also wanted to say I absolutely love this perspective - it's a little shift in mind that can change so much for us. Even when we don't succeed at something, we can use the opportunities to learn from what went well and what didn't so that we can grow and learn for the future.

Congrats on entering the competition - i'm sure what you wrote was amazing (even if it didn't win)

Im also super proud of you too. I think it's fantastic that you entered an essay writing competition but eventhough you didnt win you tried and had a go which is amazing to hear.
