Do you love films?

We have some exciting news...we're going to be running a movie afternoon later this month! 🎥

When is the movie afternoon happening?
:star:Sunday 26 May 2024, 2-4pm :star:

How will the movie afternoon work?
A few days before the movie afternoon, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to stream the film and join our group chat room where we can all text-chat together while watching the film at the same time.

The film will be shown on ITVx that is free to register on (no subscription set up needed).

What movie will we be watching?
Now that's down to you! We've chosen some family-friendly movies below that are available on ITVx and we'd love for you to vote on what film you'd like to watch. The most popular will be chosen! 💛

    I'm not sure why but when I try and log in to sign up it tells me I have to use my work email instead of personal one, I don't get technology 🤣

    Thank you @Gemma and @TheMix for creating another wonderful mix movie night. I got to say these have been super super brilliant and I also really loved The Truman Show, it was pretty good and better than what I expected the movie to turn out like. <3. A very insightful film which looks at the themes of reality and free will x.

    Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted
    I loved the comedic moments. It's a thought-provoking film that raises intriguing questions about reality. Seeing Truman struggling at sea made me worried about whether he would survive but when he did I was blown away. The film was very entertaining and I'm happy he got his freedom. Just fantastic.

    Lovely to hear your thoughts on this @Amy22 and @IsThisJustFantasy! It definitely is thought-provoking and definitely leaves you questioning reality. I feel like it's quite a timeless film as it now resonates with our current age of live streams and social media making ordinary people feel as if they're making their own reality TV show. I also love the final segment of the film - seeing Truman willing to go into the unknown, going against the created existence, and being okay with the dangers of what's out there. :)

    @Gemma i agree and I think Truman was brave to go into the unknown. I think starting over after years of living in a reality TV show can be difficult, and I think Truman knew this and he’s very resilient for accepting that and going after his reality without allowing his created existence to pull him back.

    100% agree with you there @IsThisJustFantasy! He definitely overcame the odds and was very brave to make that move. :)
