    @ellie2000 It makes a lot of sense that you're wondering about this. I would say as long as you're describing someone in a respectful way, using appearance to identify them is fine. It's especially helpful if you're talking about someone in a situation where you might not be able to get their name right away. Does this answer your question okay? :)

    @ellie2000 I think it's fine for you to describe an individual's appearance where you don't know their name to someone else that might know them, who is able to tell you their name or where the person's appearance is relevant in conversation

    So long as you're respectful in how you describe the person I don't see anything wrong with it

    If it someone you know but you can't remember their name you could see if you could get a chance to ask them when you see them next :)
