Hey @Past User these are really tricky things to feel, especially when we begin to normalise it to ourselves <3

Someone once explained it to me like this: Imagine you're in a room and it's dark. It feels like it's night time all the time and the sun never comes up and the light never comes on. You might feel really sad about it, but you begin to get used to it and forget what the sun ever felt like. Until one day, the sun begins to come up and you realise that the light is there, and you can enjoy it!

Things will get better, and you won't feel like this forever. Although it might feel like that right now, it won't be forever. It might not be tomorrow, or the next day, or even this month, but things will change and the sun will come up at some point <3

I’m sorry to hear that, but you have taken a very brave step reaching out for support and dealing with the situation @Past User . These can feel overwhelming. Do you have supportive friends or family members that you can talk to? Sometimes chatting with or just being with someone close might feel better and helpful. It's important to remember that recovery is not a linear process and it can take time to see progress. However, seeking help and support can be an important step in managing your mental health, which you already did. You are not alone in your struggles and there are many resources available to help you. It’s a long journey and you’ve already done a lot. Don’t forget there are always people here to support and listen to you!

It's important to have a support system, but it's not always easy to find or maintain one. Here are some suggestions that may help:

    1. Consider seeking support from a mental health professional, such as a therapist or counselor. They can provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings.

    2. Join a support group. There are many groups online and in-person that offer support and a sense of community for people going through similar experiences. You've already reached out here so that's great.

    3. Connect with people who share your interests or hobbies. This can be a good way to make new friends and find a sense of belonging.

    4. Volunteer for a cause or organization you care about. This can be a way to meet new people and feel like you're making a positive impact in your community.

Remember that it's okay to ask for help, and it's important to prioritize your mental health and well-being. You don't have to go through this alone.
