Rain's Whispering- A Poem

Nothing in this space between,
flashes of light that relish in your beauty.
This quietness disrupted by something that demands to be seen,
nature cries out to you hearing your plea
reflecting everything still not as quiet as brightly.
But even through the slick drops of ice, I receive warmth from the promise of you.
Of breathing through this cold encompassing haze, shared.
Even the quietest of cries is heard through this place.
The place where you aren't here and I'm not there but we're under the same drops of separation.
It is not desperation that I see you through though, but knowing that you're trying.
In the same way that the clouds can't help but let go,
you pour yourself out to me and I'm still stuck ready to receive.
I don't complain and I wouldn't dare whisper your name,
for who could hear it over the chaos of our hearts and natures need.
flashes of light that relish in your beauty.
