Hello
Myself and my partner broke up around 3 weeks ago.
Since then things have been okay, the last few days he has been amazing and supportive and i started to believe we could try again. There was a number of reasons why we broke up, but thats another story.
He says he still loves and cares about me and my son and hope that we could respark what we had.
However, whilst dealing with our phone contracts on those web advisors online, a notification from Badoo came through his phone. Badoo is a dating app.
i tried explaining to him that his words and his actions are sending mixed messages.
He says he is heartbroken that we separated and wants to respark us, but then downloads a dating app.
He doesnt see an issue with this and doesnt understand the mixed message. He says it is to practice his social skills because i was mean and stopped him socialising - i explained there was facebook but he thinks a dating app is better suited.
Am i looking into to much?
Is this a mixed message?
please share your opinions on this cause im baffled and confused

This situation must be very confusing and upsetting for you. I would like to point out that your feelings always have been and always will be completely valid. If it's upsetting you, then it's upsetting you and nobody should make you feel bad for how you feel.
I think it would be beneficial for you to sit down with him and discuss your feelings and be as clear as you can about what you want, if you are to restart your relationship. If he continues to say there's no problems with him being on a dating app, then it's important you do what you feel is best. It can be difficult to navigate a break up when you feel like there's a chance to respark it. However, if you've clearly stated that you don't like him being on dating apps, and he continues, then he is violating your boundaries, and these are important in a relationship.
Look after yourself, your mental health and feelings are important.
