Should the UK ban groups that want to dismantle democracy?

The UK considers itself a free society, but should being a free society mean that people should be free to spread ideas that threaten the free society in which we live?
Should I be able to use my 'right' to free speech, for instance, to campaign for the destruction of the UK government?; Or for the removal of the rights of people who disagree with me?
If not, how should we address the presence of religious groups in the UK who promote dismantling the country's legal and democratic political system in favour of a state ruled by religious authorities who would criminalise disagreement with their religious views?
