Its got to that time of year - the nights are dark and things are getting cosy. Spooky season is over and the christmas lights are ready to come out
But its also the time of year when fireworks become a nightly sound effect!
Even though they look pretty in the sky, fireworks can really be stressful for us and our pets
This thread is here to share some of our best self care tips or best way to deal with fireworks (for us or our pets!).
I used to make my dog a little den with blankets that he could hide in! Thinking of making a human sized one for me this year

I also sometimes use headphones to watch things (use laptop to watch), like above post, closing the blinds or curtains can help
I agree, sometimes putting on headphones masks the sound better than just playing it out loud, I have a playlist of chilled music that helps me stay calm
I also try to light some candles or use a difuser to distract myself with smell and block out noise that way!
We normally build him a den to hid in, with lots of treats and have calm music playing to try and keep him chill. Nothing can take his mind away from chesse
