    Hey @Past User you won’t be able to PM yet as I believe the post threshold for sending messages is now 20 posts :) once you get it, you go to someone’s profile and there should be a message button there :)

    @Past User  it used to be 5 posts, but we’ve been getting a lot of very inappropriate PM trolling around here lately, so it’s to guard against that really :) you’re almost there though - you’ll get a notification on your profile when you’re able to PM.

    @Mike just curious as someone asked the other day, how many posts is it to PM now? It says 5 in the OP but was it ever reverted back from 20 after the trolling we had a while back?

    Sorry @independent_ not sure how we missed this!

    You're right - we bumped the PM permission to 20 posts after those problems. We've just reduced it down to 10 and updated the main post to make that clear:
    0 Literally Just Got Here
    2 Newbie | able to add signature and location
    5 Confirmed Not A Robot | able to post links
    10 Settling in | able to PM and posts never checked by spam filter
    20 Boards Initiate | able to post polls
