Underage sexting

Hey again. I was wondering about something that happened to me a while ago. I was dating a guy who was 26 years old when I was 17. He took pictures of me (He never asked me 'can I take pictures' he just pulled out the camera but I didn't say no.
He had many many pictures (all of which are illegal I believe)
he never asked me to send him anything when we were apart, he only took them when we were together.
Many years have passed since then but I'm wondering is it worth trying to report it?

From my understanding, your partner must be 16 years old to consent to sex (In the UK) however, if you have indecent images of someone under 18 years old on your phone, it would be classed as having child pornography. So, If you were naked or even in underwear in the pictures, he was breaking the law. He shouldn't have taken the pictures in the first place but even more so without your consent, that's just wrong on many levels.
I'm not an expert but i'd say that because many years have passed, it's unlikely that he would still have the images so it would probably be difficult to press charges.
If you believe that he has done this to other young people or if you think he does have child pornography in his possession then i would definitely report it.
Even if you want to report just incase he does still have the pics obviously you'd have every right to do that too.
We have an article about sexting here which you might find useful https://www.themix.org.uk/sex-and-relationships/sexting-sex-and-relationships/is-sexting-illegal-28371.html
