Sleep paralysis

Hi there, 
I have been experiencing some sort of sleep disorder in which I thought it was sleep paralysis but all the accounts I have read of it sounds completely different to what I'm experiencing. I would like to see someone about this however the only window I have for that is this weekend as my parents are away and I don't want them to know about any of this. I should also add that I'm 18 yrs old. I have tried to see my GP however they are closed at the weekend. Could I please have a couple of suggestions of who else I can go and see? I'm slightly desperate.

    Hey there @ellezee I'm sorry to hear that this is stressing you out so much at the moment. I think it's pretty understandable that you wouldn't want to tell your parents about what you're going through, but as Aidan mentioned you should be able to visit your GP without needing to let them know since you're over 18.

    If you're really desperate for an alternative you could always try using the NHS 111 service either by phone or online. There's some more infomation about the 111 sevice here https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/urgent-and-emergency-care/nhs-111/ so feel free to have a look if you're interested.

    It's definitely best to talk to a professional but maybe trying some of these suggestions could be useful while you are waiting to get an appointment.

    That sounds bad, do you want to talk more about what you experience? It sounds like a good idea to see someone about it. The others have given some advice already so I just wanted to check in, and say let us know what you think of the ideas and how you're doing x
