Hey everyone,
We've been sent through an exciting opportunity from LSE that we thought we'd share on the boards to see if anyone is interested in taking part. Here's the info below:
Invitation to take part in a focus group in London
We would like to speak to young people who have, or have had, mental health problems about how we can improve care and support. We are developing a mobile app to do this and we would like your input on how to make the app most useful, to help young people access both formal and informal care or support.
We would like to hold a group to discuss ideas about the app and would like to invite young people between the ages of 16 and 25 with experience of mental health problems. We would like to involve young people who have used services as well as those who have not. We would also like to discuss barriers to service use and how the app might address some of these.
We will hold the group at LSE in central London and would like to have about 8 participants. In the group we will seek participants’ thoughts about aspects of the app, for example, visuals, language, use of personal experience within the app, and ideas about what types of services will be covered.
We will refund travel costs within London and we will give everyone £10 as a token of our thanks. After the group, we would be very pleased if any participants would like to stay involved in the project, by testing and giving feedback on the app as it develops. We would also be very pleased for anyone who cannot take part in the group to get involved in testing the app.
We hope to run the group at 2pm on Sunday March 18th.
If you might be willing to take part please email me M.Stevens@lse.ac.uk and I will send you an information sheet and answer any questions you may have.
Let us know if you have any questions about anything at all. If you're interested in this but can't make this date, there will be other dates coming up soon so we can keep you in mind for those
