Sensitive tooth

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 17,476 The Mix Honorary Guru
I have been experiencing sensitive tooth for a while now. I've been told by the dentist that it needs a crown. It hurts slightly when I bite something hard on that area which is cracked but otherwise I don’t have any pain. I have booked an appointment with a dentist in Edmonton in 5 days and the dentist says that he is going to remove the cracked tooth using the cerec dental technology. But what worries me is that one of my friends had done both root canal work and crown for his cracked tooth. Has anyone been through this situation? I don’t know how to handle this. Please share your thoughts.

One of my front two teeth got chipped when i was like 6, so i had to get the same done a couple years ago (was too young originally).

I haven't needed anything more than a crown myself, so i guess it depends on the person.
