Have you ever lost someone close to you and found it hard to cope?
You're not alone.
On Wednesday we're teaming up with The Loss Foundation to run a special workshop around coping with loss. Bereavement is one of the hardest things we can experience, and this session will touch on some of the difficult the feelings it can involve and explore ways we can cope with them.
Who will be leading the session?
Dr Erin Hope Thompson and Dr Kirsten Smith are clinical psychologists working for the charity The Loss Foundation. They have vast experience working with people with mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression as well as working to reduce psychological distress and improve wellbeing. They specialise in grief and bereavement support.
I'll also be there to help out.
What will the session be like?
This will be a workshop-style, interactive chat. Erin and Kirsten will lead a few group discussions and activities, which will also allow some time for sharing personal experiences if it feels comfortable to do so. The group will be no more than 8 people.
When is it and where do I sign up?
The session is happening on Wednesday 9th Dec, 7:30-9pm.
To keep the group small, places are limited. So please sign up here.
We'll then be in touch nearer the time to let you know whether you have a place.
