It's the new football season this weekend! Yay!
The highs, the lows, the drama, the goals, the gaffs, the spats, the gossip, the fans, the flags, the chants, the controversies. Oh what a lot of fun.
It got me thinking, if you could have a football manager manage your life, who would it be?
Would you want a Jose Mourinho type confidence booster, but cruel and distant to the outside world? Maybe an Arsene Wenger professorial approach, all about technique and learning with the odd bit of fire flaring up? Or a Brendan Rodgers-esque manager, the type that knows his business speak but is actually a very good coach?
I'd want a Wenger-type manager, he'd be encouraging and motivating I think and we could talk about French philosophy and football. It would be great.
