I was going to get an O2X1, but then I opted for a Sagem MYX6, which I got at the weekend. Good choice, IMHO. But then again I can't help you!

I can't send O2 texts either. And there's a distinct lack of information on their website about it. However, I imagine that you have to send a text to a number, which then texts you back with your MMS settings, just like it does with WAP. Seems O2 just haven't posted this on their website, so that people can actually find out the number.

Ooh, mine sends. But my sister didnt get it. :|

Anyway, you may not be in a GPSthingy area. If you have no purple triangle you cant send it. if you do have a purple triangle then it isnt set up right.

Good job I emailed them about this and got a reply.

The settings you require for your handset are as follows.

    O2 X1 GSM & GPRS WAP Settings

Press Left Softkey (LSK) after entering each option
Use the Red End Call key to clear any text

    Menu (LSK):
    O2 Active (LSK):
    WAP Profiles (LSK):
Choose an Empty Gateway Profile Press OK

Default: (if it is the only profile this will be set)
    Homepage: wap.o2.co.uk (. = # key x2)
    CSD:
    Username: o2wap
    Password: password
    Dial-up Number: +447712927927 (+=*keyx2)
    IP Address: 193.113.200.195
    Data Type: ISDN
    Data Speed: 9600
    Idle Timeout: 3 Minutes

    GPRS:
    Username: o2wap
    Password: password
    APN: wap.o2.co.uk
    IP Address: 193.113.200.195
    Bearer: GPRS Prefer
    Connect Mode: Continuously
Security: Off (untick with Call key)
    Show Graphic: On
    Rename: o2wap

    O2 X1 MMS Settings

Press the 'Menu' option, then Messages.
Scroll to 'MMS' and press 'Ok'.
Scroll to 'Config' and press 'Ok'
Scroll to 'Connection' and press 'Ok
Highlight and select Active and choose an empty profile.
Scroll to option 2 and choose edit
Scroll to each of the following settings, enter as follows and press
    left soft key

    Setting Name: O2 MMS
    Server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
    Gateway IP: 193.113.200.195
    APN: wap.o2.co.uk
    Login: o2wap
    Password: password

Once you are happy the settings are correct turn your handset off and
on again to update your sim card.

If you have the correct settings and are still having problems then
please contact our MMS team on 0906 895 0504 (calls charged at 60p per
    min) for further advice.
