The toothpaste trick - truth or myth?

Is it truth or myth that applying toothpaste to spots dries them up?

If it's a myth then what else would do the trick?

Not sure about the toothpaste thing. Maybe someone else knows more about that then I can really help you with, but for a suggestion, don't know if they have it where you live, but go to your Doc or a specialist and see about getting differin gel because that's what I'm using right now and it helps with me.

About all I can think of right now. Maybe someone else may know of something better to use.

no it is true, it does dry them up, unfortunatly you'll have a big red mark where you put the toothpaste the next day though

I would have thought it works by osmosis. So the toothpaste would draw out liquid from the spot because it has a higher solute concentration than there would be in the cells? Not sure.

^yeh apparently if you put a blob on the spot it drys it up and brings the spot to a head. but dont be tempted to squeeze, just leave it be and it will go.

Yeah it does work but matey over there can’t put concelor on it, well unless he would like to dress in drag. Have you tried Oxipads or whatever they are called, I have used them before and they seem to work for me. Try it out might help

Why not just use a face pack so that it draws the oil from your skin and dries up the spots?

I use Clean & Clear's oil free deep action cleansing mask. It dries your spots out and takes all the oily crap outta ya face.

I'll have to give it a try:)

Does it make any difference if the toothpaste has a red gel bit going through the middle of it:confused:
