I wish i could pack in smoking, smoking is an addiction.....its a drug, so stopping smoking is not as easy as it sounds.

My Dad was told if he carried on smoking he would be dead within 6 months, he quit straight away. I suppose reality it him when the doctor said smoke or die.
That was about 6 years ago, he still has bad chest etc, but he is alive. However when he has a bad attack it is not very nice to watch. He cant breathe, has to have a nebuliser and on a lot of occasions is rushed into hospital.
And im still smoking, i must be stupid.......but im addicted to nicotine.

Ya'll proberly drink and eat fast foods but you don't stop to think what damage it's doing to you? There's no warnings on beer bottles to say that drinking beer can cause Liver Disease and Cirrhosis, Alcoholic Hepatitis, neurologic complications, rhabdomyolysis, myoglobinuria. Just because everyone else does and there's no warnings on bottle, etc, don't mean this stuff can't happen.

I know myself how hard it is to stop so you have done well, hopefully you will never touch a fag anymore.
To anyone out there who has not started smoking but thinks to look big or clever they are thinking about it all I can say is dont do it. Im not nagging im just being honest and i wish id never started in the 1st place, if i could turn the clock back all them years ago to when I first started i would never had lit up that 1st fag.

I agree. I also wish that I could turn back the hands of time and wish that I would have never had that first fag, but since I can't, will just have to keep trying to quit.
that's how i always felt about it.
I mean i had nothing else to do on my breaks at work so i'd just sit back and have a couple of smokes.
