Lace

Bought this gorgeous skirt, which is of a beige base, and covered in black lacework. Sounds horrible, but everyone which has seen it, is amazed by it. It's beautiful.

Now, would someone confirm that two part lace don't go together? Meaning that lacy top and bottom is too much when "matched" (plus the fact that the patter usually won't go together if it's not from teh same collection).

Am I making any sense?

    i think so.

personally i'd wear a solid top with a lacy skirt, and a solid skirt with a lacy top.

(if i wore anything even remotely girly)

unless it was just lace trim, and not all over lace, in which case it might be ok.

I agree with you both - a lace top and a lace skirt sounds like overkill. Although lace trim would be ok I think, but even then it might be a bit much.

Oh and Jacqueline, your skirt sounds lovely :)

Ive got a similar skirt....a black skirt with buttons at the side and the same shape and colour but in lace over the top. I love it and yours sound great :thumb: it looks good with winkle pickers (cant believe I said that, i used to hate them with a passion!)
