    Four main groups - O, A, B, and AB.

Two rhesus groups, positive and negative.

So you have a group and a rhesus, e.g. I`m A positive. There are loads of other technical bits probably only understood by phlebotomists, doctors and Count Dracula, so that`s all you really need to know.

    More info here .

    I'm A negative.

I read in a newspaper back in 1997 that 'A' group is associated with veggie eating where 'O' group prefer a lot of meats. Its not as black and white as vegetarism but it just sets preferences.

This remains true for my family as my mother and I are both 'A' group and prefer veg crusine. My dad and sister being on the flipside.

i think the site is better for asking questions, what has the colour of your skin got to do with the type of your blood.

    Okay, fair enough I suppose.

Different races have differentiating characteristics, e.g. people of a certain race might be genetically more predisposed towards a certain illness, for example. In the same way, different blood groups are more predominant among people of different races. Amongst caucasians type AB is the least common, but it is the most common amongst Asians.
