Many resizig tool and all marked as freeware.
He wants to make them smaller in size right???
Well heres an easy theory to do exactly that in Paint
Open the picture in Paint then click File then Save As....
Then in the save dialog box type the name of the picture followed by the jpeg file name for example:
MyPicture.jpg
If you type that in then Paint will automatically save it as a jpeg file which dramatically reduces the size of it......
Good luck
She'll most likely mean the image size, not the file size.
Besides, converting images to JPEG in Paint totally fucks them up. Paint Shop Pro isn't that hard to figure out, and you're as well taking the time to do so tbh.
See he said smaller files!!
Excuse me was that taking the piss????
If you dont mind me saying, i am a graphics designer......
I use Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver along with Firworks!!! :crazyeyes
So please mate, dont go telling me what i do and dont know understand???
btw i know how to use paint shop pro and i dont like it coz its s*it basically
the man wanted help on how to do it in paint so i thought id give him a little simple advice!!! Obviously i aint allowed to do that am i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Sorry am i over reacting??? )
And since nobody actually saves files as bitmaps, and image resizing is a question that crops up alot on the forums, most people assumed the same as I did.
Either way, Paint's shit.
No - Paint really does fuck up JPEG conversions.
Then you should know Paint fucks it up.
Congrats. So do I.
Read again. I didn't.
Well done, but I wasn't talking to you, it was in response to this:
She asked if you could do it in Paint, you answered, and I pointed out a flaw. Of course, everyone should follow any advice they get unquestionably, right?
Yes.
PSP is actually a really good program, granted, its a bit rough around the edges but I prefer it to photoshop. Erm to the person with the question - if you download PSP then you can change all the image properties really easily - change it to 256 colour to make the file size smaller, or to make the image size smaller (as i assumed but as RudeBwoy pointed out not actually what you were asking) you can just select all and change teh size - it lets you keep it in proportion and all sorts.
And RudeBwoy try to stay calm sometimes... I mean tbh it doesn't count for much you being a graphics designer. What if (as in hypothetically) you were a really crap one? I'm not saying you are or anything I'm jsut saying people are here to give advice and Kiezo just pointed out that paint fucks things up (which they do, if you select it all and resize it like that it merges teh pixels together and fucks up the image quality) and you had a go at him. Ah well....
Sorry about going off on one like that i thought you was being offensive......Once again, sorry
But the thing is i thought id help him out a little you know because i dont know how much knowledge he has about computers and stuff...
But its all sorted now so sorry yeh!!!
I'm a she
thanks for the help - sorry i wasn't very clear, i actually wanted to do both things - make it smaller in physical size and in file size. i was using my mum's computer which only has Paint on it, and I've managed it now - it was my avatar!
cheers for the help, sorry it caused so much bickering
Anyway you could of asked and i would of done it for ya...
But then again people on this forum dont know me yet...
Trust when you get to know me it will all be alright!!
I loved the way everyone assumed u were a bloke.
I assumed too....
if you need images resizing feel free to e-mail them to me because it only takes about a 20 seconds on paint shop pro
