Joining the EU is beneath the UK.

The EU abstained on the vote approving Libya as head of the U.N. Human Rights Commission because it didn't want to "alienate" Africa and other developing countries.

The truth is, France is in sync with Libya's take on Human Rights. Otherwise, how could it take money as payment for the weapons and technologies it sold Saddam, that was to go for food and medicines for his people?

    1. The EU doesn't have a vote in the UN

    2. The UK is already a member of the EU

    3. French duplicity over Iraq is irrelevant, as previously stated. They are anti war and so are excluded.

    Whoops.

The UK is already a full member. The only step we are yet to take is full monetary union. And that is a choice issue. We are aleady tied politically.
