Pill problem

Basically, I normally take the pill at half 8 in the evening, last night I forgot and remembered at half 8 this morning, 5 mins after having unprotected sex with adam. So will I have been protected, as I hadn't taken the pill for 36 hours, 12 hours late. I thought you were allowed to take it upto 12 hours late, but obviolsly nearer the correct time the better.

Also, do I take the pill at the usual time tonight, even though I took one this morning left over from last night, or do I leave it and carry on from half 8 tomorow morning?

    you can take it 12 hours late, but thats the absolute maximum. they say if you take it more than 12 hours late, then you must use additional contraception for the next week, so i reckon you were probably protected - but only just. If you want to be on the safe side, get the M.A.P.

    Depends what type of pill you are on, mine is only 3 hours. You best check.

    the combined pill (the most common type) its 12 hours, I think the mini pill is between 1 and 3 hours, but from what ive heard, the mini pill is notoriously unreliable anyway.

    I'm on the normal one, not sure what it's called :confused: But I know that the maximum time is 12 hours, it's in a white packet with green writing if that helps?

    Yeah I'm on Microgynon 30 and I've taken it a little more than 12 hours late and been okay...you should be fine, take the morning after pill if you're really worried and try not to do it again :)
