hiya
am at leeds uni, starting classes as from monday. although i'm in halls, and ive got a roommate, i am completely lost and practically friendless
not that i'm nasty or anything, it's just that i seem to have been put in a hall with a lot of third-years and rich freshers who wont give me the time of day (i'm a skint fresher). plus the whole clubbing thing doesnt appeal to me, mainly coz i have no money for it!!! and i know there r loads of ppl on my course, but ive only met them really briefly.
is any1 in the same situation? or has any advice for me?

Don't panic, it takes a while for most people to make friends at uni and you haven't even started classes yet. You are bound to meet people on your course, and get to know people in other halls etc too. Why not join a society to meet some new people, most uni's have loads to choose from so there's bound to be one that would suit you.
