On Friday, the London-based Saudi newspaper Asharq al-Awsat published an interview it conducted with Mullah Mohammad Omar....

"The Muslims around the world need to be involved in the Jihad physically, financially or verbally. The current war between Imaan and kufr (belief and unbelief) being fought throughout the world does not sanction the Muslims to spend the majority of their time chasing wealth. Islam requires the Muslims to comply willingly with the commands of Allah. Obey Allah, and obey the messenger (SAW) without compromise."

The United States maintains that this is a war against terrorists, not Islam.

Apparently, that is not how the Muslims view it...

well seeing as 100% of the terrorists who attacked the world trade centre and continue to fight against us are Muslims, it's easy to assume that we aren't looking for Jews when we want to arrest someone, kind of gives them away a bit.

As for the UK becoming an Islamic state?! ha. Seeing as only 4% of the population comes from an ethnic background that isn't British, and of those maybe 2% are Muslim, they've got a long way to go before anyone listens to them.

Poor misunderstood people, al-muhajiroun, we should listen to them rather than see them as a threat.

Oh god, I came over all funny just now.

I suddenly started lerching towards the left...

What I meant to say was:

Any chance of deporting some of these arseholes?

Close enough. One could also summarize the English (or British) sense of humour in one word: subtle. At least compared to American humour, it seems.

Actually, you were just on the receiving end of the sarcasm.

Would not have been too subtle for you, now would it?
