The Carnegie Young People Initiative is looking for a chair and vice chair.

If you are aged 25 or under and have an interest in young people's participation in public decision-making then why not apply?
We are looking fo young people who are:
Committed to youth participation
Work well with young people, policy makers and professionals
The posts will last between 1 and 3 years and will involve chairing management and Young People Action group meetings and events as well as to the media.

What does the job involve? (apart from going to meetings)
From what I gather it involves various research into young peoples issues and then some quite big conferences (the one I went to was a the British Museum and had Ministers, GLA peoples and civil servants).
I believe Carnegie are also looking for people to be involved in 'phase 3' of their work from september onwards in just member roles rather than chairing / vice-chairing. So if you're interested in getting invovled in participation work (looking at how young people can be involved in decision making) but not wanting to take such a prominant role as chairing etc, its probably still worth contacting Carnegie to find out more about other opportunities within the organisation.
