Discussion Board update (2nd April)

Hi All,
We had anticipated the boards being closed last night, but as you can see, the change didn’t take place as expected! Our IT team is working with the platform developers today to look into why the change over didn’t take effect. Our troubleshooting is often made harder due to differences in time zones (they are based in US) and this can delay how quickly things can be looked into and resolved.
Whilst we wanted to be able to provide you all with a firm date and time for these changes, as you can see, it is unfortunately more complicated than we had hoped it would be and now with Easter break upon us, it seems safer to pause the updates until our IT team and Community Team members are back from leave week commencing Monday 13th April to avoid the risk of the service being down whilst vital team members are away.
We are working hard to have these changes applied whilst the Community remains open, as we do not want to have to close the boards for a period of time to make these changes. But doing it this way also means that updates can fail within the live environment of the discussion boards.
We will be back with an update on Monday 13th April regarding premoderation and the switch off of the boards overnight. We also are still anticipating age verification checks to become live from 13th April.
We are aware that some of you have also mentioned glitches that you’ve come across and we will continue to look into these for you.
We hope that you can all appreciate that we are doing our best to be as clear as we can, to share whatever information we have and to adapt to whatever issues are coming up. As such, we appreciate your patience and understanding whilst we try to figure stuff out!

so some of us are going to have to deal with not being able to post until the 13th of april..
I’m not being funny but if the age check fails, people could very well be locked out of the boards for a period of time anyway (and some are already locked out from this update bc they can’t post). The delay is a good thing, but when it is implemented it really needs to work correctly, even if that means a (short) period of downtime.

literally bc i can’t post on the main community apart from posts that the mix post.
@TheMix half the users who got switched off overnight aren't able to post on any non mix threads even now. Only a few of us can post elsewhere on other threads right now.

Hi everyone - just a quick update on this, the issue that quite a few of you have been experiencing with being unable to post/comment on posts that aren't announcements has been raised with our tech support earlier today. Apologies that this wasn't communicated to you sooner! We will let you know as soon as we have a fix but please be assured that we are working hard behind the scenes to correct this as we know how disruptive and frustrating it is.
Thank you to those of you who have posted screenshots/let us know about community connectors being the only ones able to post. Really appreciated.
