Who else is excited for, or watching the moon mission? First mission to orbit the moon in 50 years, since the Apollo missions, and the groundwork for moon landings to follow in coming years.

Thank you for posting this @Nathan! I have to admit - I'm not very well informed on stuff like this, but I have just looked it up and seen some of the most amazing photos of the Earth from the spacecraft!
So I actually stayed up late at night to watch the launch through NASA's live stream on YouTube and it was amazing!. While the countdown was a bit long and I think they also had to fix a fault as well beforehand I think if I remember. I've never really watched any rocket launches before so it was very interesting.
For anyone who is also interested in the Artemis II mission, you can follow the spaceshuttle on the Arow website which breaks down the entire journey including where they are currently in the mission to when they orbit the moon as well. It's quite fascinating actually how they do it because at one stage they will lose 40 minutes of communication with Earth which is quite scary to think of.
