While I have the time I am just going to put this here.
Some of you may know about the situation with my son and the fight I had to gain custody over him to avoid him being put into the system and being passed around, he needed a loving and caring person so I fought hard, I cared for him all the time anyway I just needed paperwork proof of guardianship.
A couple that I knew through my fiance recently had a child, the child has down syndrome, they called me to say they want nothing to do with the child which I was so concerned about especially just abandoning the child in the hospital. I contacted the hospital after the call and explained to them the situation and they said they would contact social services, social services are not wanting the child to go to the birth parents as it's clear they are not going to appropriately care for the child, I personally wouldn't want this child to be failed and put into systems as they deserve better than that.
It is hard knowing that these are real situations that happen and that it has happened again, I understand you may not want to have the child but there are better ways of going about saying that.
I just hate how children suffer like that, it just isn't right.

It’s deeply upsetting to realise that situations like this still exist and that innocent children suffer because of the choices made by adults. No child should ever feel unwanted or abandoned even if they require additional support. The fact that you couldn't look the other way and that you took the time to reach out to the right people to ensure this child wouldn’t be forgotten is a testament to your empathy and thoughtfulness. Your kindness changes lives in ways you may never fully see.
Please know that your voice matters, your actions matter and you matter. Thank you for caring deeply, for standing up for what is right and for refusing to let children down when they deserve so much better.
The people who's child it ie was honest with the social worker just like I told them to be which is super positive.
These people didn't necessarily not want the child, they just felt like they were scared, being first time parents and feel like they wouldn't be able to care for the child in the best way.
The social worker who is the one working on this case spoke to them and said that they can care for the child, they said that they will help fight for the right services to help them make a start.
I also stepped up and said to them, at any time they feel they need some help or guidance they can always contact me, I have experience with individuals who have SEND. I have worked with people who have down syndrome so I can help them learn and help them every step of the way.
I have also said I can come round and help with anything when I have the time, i also let them know they can come to my home any time they would like and I can take over the care for a short while to give them a break.
They have agreed to try it as they said they love their child they just thought they wouldn't be good enough parents. I am actually glad there is such an amazing social worker working this case.
This means it gives me peace of mind knowing the child will be well looked after and have a good life without the need to care for 2 children as my own son is hard enough with all his medical needs.
