What are your plans for christmas?

I’ve always spent christmas at home, so I’m really curious what all your plans/routines are for christmas time. Whether that’s Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or the days around it.

Christmas Eve is a birthday in my house so most mentions of the C word are banned, but we do like to sit down in the evening and watch the christmas specials of shows that are on the TV. And as i have mentioned before, even tracking Santa at my big age!!

Christmas Day - In my house we have a relaxed day, I’m the youngest in my house so no pressure to wake up early on christmas morning :joy: we get a coffee and open presents first, then have breakfast. Me and mum are planning to take the dog for a decent walk this year after breakfast. Make dinner for around 3pm. We have a few new board games this year that we’re planning to play after dinner, i got us deal or no deal board games and my sister got us a game called incoherent, so we are looking forward to playing those.Then relax for the rest of the day.

What do you like to do on these days? Visit family, activities, or just relax and not do much at all?

    Christmas is always pretty relaxed in my family as well, the main event is exchanging presents in the morning (we usually have coffee as well) and then we mostly chill for the rest of the day. My family isn't big on board games, though that sounds really fun.

    Our Christmas routine is often the same as every other year. However this year on Christmas day, we are hosting as both my nan and bamp will having dinner with us. Normally they will be at my uncle's for Christmas day but this year I believe they are at ours. To be honest Christmas so far has been a bit hetic sorting things out and also trying to figure out how to get my nan into the house. My nan is getting on quite a bit now just like my bamp, as she got dementia it can be hard making sure she is okay and stuff. Often she tends to nap a lot and stuff. Also her mobility isnt that great and the situation with the house is that we got steps going up to the front door. I have a feeling getting my nan into the house will definitely be a challenge but we will get there eventually.

    Normally my dad will do the Christmas dinner as he is the chef in the household (really I am at that age where I should be starting to cook, it's just having that patience with me and stuff because I tend to get quite nervy around handling sharp objects and stuff in the kitchen). We also exchange presents normally in the morning then have food in the afternoon then watch tv in the evening.

    Christmas eve is often my favourite day because I get to track santa and I also like to watch a film or a show as well.
