November 2025 achievements!

kaiikaii Posts: 661 Incredible Poster
Hey everyone! I can't believe it's almost the end of November - I hope this month has been okay for you all!

Just wanted to come back for the monthly achievement check-in! As always, it doesn't matter how many achievements you made, nor how big or small they are - they're still achievements either way! I'd love to hear about your victories this month <3

Here are mine:
- I got back into mindfulness meditation and have been accepting discomfort and have grounded myself back to my breathing/the environment after getting distracted/experiencing unhelpful thoughts
- I got through preparing my car for its MOT (it passed yay!) and learned how to do stuff like open the bonnet and clean the interior! Although I found it stressful and difficult, I'm so glad I persevered through it
- I'm learning how to play the bass and it has been really fun! I'm also being a bit kinder to myself when I can't get something right straight away

You're all amazing for getting through the month, I'm so so proud of you all!

Hope you all have a great December :3

These posts are always so beautiful @kaii - thank you so much! Some huge achievements here to celebrate!! I feel really moved by what you said about being kind with yourself too, and finding ways to ground yourself. Sounds like such a powerful act of self-care!

Thank you so much @kaii for these posts every month - they make me really happy and I look forward to them a lot. Here are mine for this month:
    - I started reading my first ever novel in Japanese (it's my neighbour totoro hehe) with the help of a dictionary, and that's been going really well! I've also ordered a Japanese light novel series which is arriving next month, I'm super excited to start reading that.
    - I also started drawing this month which I'm proud of, and it's been really therapeutic and relaxing, especially with music on in the background.
    - I finished watching the anime series 'the fragrant flower blooms with dignity' entirely in Japanese, that was really exciting as I've never watched a whole series in the language before!
    - I made more of an effort to be kind to myself this month

Aww thank you so much @Nemuritai, I'm really happy to hear that you look forward to these achievement threads :3 you've done such a good job this November!!

It's absolutely amazing that you've finished watching an anime entirely in Japanese, and have begun reading My Neighbour Totoro! It's such a fun way to learn the language - I aspire to be at your level as a Japanese learner myself! I can only read simplified short stories so far, understand some podcasts and understand 70% of Your Lie in April hahah. It sounds exciting that you'll soon read a light novel series, I'm sure it'll go well!

I'm also really glad to hear that you've started drawing and have been finding it really calming. And it's great that you're starting to be kinder to yourself when it's so easy to be hard on ourselves -you're doing amazing!

So so proud of you, hope you have a lovely December <3

Thank you so much @kaii, that's incredible sweet of you and I really appreciate it

It's really awesome that you're also learning Japanese - I don't meet many other learners, so I always get excited meeting one lol. Understanding 70% of Your Lie in April is solid progress, and I know you'll improve even more as long as you keep at it. If you ever want any advice or would just like to yap about Japanese I'd be more than happy to

I'm really proud of you too, you've achieved lots this month as well

@kaii I am grateful for such a lovely check-in and you and @Nemuritai have some amazing achievements this month that I am very proud of you for. My knowledge of Japanese is very basic unfortunately but I have watched a few animes and heard positive things about both of those you mentioned @Nemuritai . This is actually my first time seeing one of these monthly check-ins, but I’m glad I came across it.
Here are some of mine though I apologise in advance if they are silly:
    - I did some baking which I have not done in a long time and it turned out quite well
    - I recovered from being unwell for a week.
    - I got the result for an important exam I did (which turned out relatively okay).
    - I saw snow for the first time this year.

You are all truly doing great. Thank you for sharing your wins as they’re really inspiring to read.

Not silly at all @Ech0, those are brilliant achievements  I think small things are just as worthy of celebration as big things. Out of total curiosity, what did you bake? I must admit I haven't attempted to bake since I'm a bit of a klutz, me in the kitchen is not a good idea lol. But it sounds super fun

@Nemuritai I baked a cake but it was a new recipe I hadn’t tried before so I was experimenting slightly.
I can relate to being a klutz but I think that is completely okay and as long as you are enjoying yourself, that is what matters.
