Firework Night

So today is Guy Fawkes Day, also known as Fireworks Night.

Did you know…
The tradition goes all the way back to 1605, when Guy Fawkes and his conspirators tried (and failed) to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Ever since, people have been lighting bonfires and fireworks around 5th November to mark the occasion, though these days it’s a lot more about fun than politics!

Do you have any plans for this evening? Maybe you’re heading out to watch a firework display, planning on watching them from your window, or you’re doing something completely different.

We’re also mindful that it can be a stressful night for pets, so hold them close, and maybe play some distracting music or give them an extra treat.

Feel free to share below any pictures of any fireworks or bonfires you’re going to

Here's one from a display i went to last year

Have a good evening whatever you do!

This year I don't think my town are actually doing a proper fireworks display this year which is sad but it's to do with funding I think . However the streets down near he have their own bonfire celebration and do firework displays and even hold bonfire competitions. To be fair while I'm not a big fan of fireworks I don't mind watching them from my window as up and close I find they can be a little bit noisy. Though I find in my area fireworks get sent off all the time lol.

I live in a small town and there aren't really many fireworks here, although I do love them. It's usually better watching from the window then being outside though, it just feels safer.

What a cool picture. I hope everyone had a fun fireworks night, whether you went out to a display, watched them from the comfort of your home, or just sat and had a night in with the TV on instead :3
